NORTH WILDWOOD — The North Wildwood Police Department has released its incident report for the month of June, 2011.
The department handled 4,518 calls for the entire month. Included in that number are: responses to 32 motor vehicle accidents; 45 thefts; one robbery; six burglaries; one case of fraud; ten simple assaults; and 18 drug offenses.
Other incidents in the total include: 391 disorderly persons offenses; 20 malicious property damage calls; 181 traffic enforcements; 191 summonses issued; 122 medical incidents; two recovered stolen items; 27 animal complaints; and 34 false burglar alarms. There was one motor vehicle theft. A total of 362 people were arrested, including 348 adults. There were six drunken driving arrests.
The police performed property checks on 1,453 residences and businesses. They also assisted the North Wildwood Fire Department at two fires. There were 35 false fire alarms. Additional calls covered 40 other agency assists.
The report notes that there was one police personnel injury.
