NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police Department (NWPD) is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer in accordance with the New Jersey Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) Program.
In accordance with the IGT program, applicants must currently be employed as a sworn officer in a New Jersey Civil Service law enforcement agency for at least two years (post academy graduation date) and their agency must be willing to approve the transfer.
Applicants must have graduated from a New Jersey PTC certified law enforcement academy and be in possession of a New Jersey Police Training Commission certificate. Applicants will be subject to a rigorous and extensive background investigation including the review of all employment records. Candidates must also submit to and pass both a medical and psychological evaluation.
The North Wildwood Police Department is an accredited agency, made up of 29 full-time Officers and up to 50 Special Law Enforcement Officers. The Police Department handles over 45,000 calls for service patrolling the streets, boardwalk, beach and entertainment district of North Wildwood.
