North Wildwood Begins In-House Reassessment

By Herald Staff

NORTH WILDWOOD — This city is doing an in-house assessment of 60 percent of its 7,800 properties to bring assessed values in line with their actual values.
The assessment, costing the city about $100,000, is expected to be completed by the end of February, according to a Press of Atlantic City story. A full revaluation by an outside company would have cost $800,000.
Property values were last assessed in 2006 at the height of the real estate boom and are now 113 percent above their market values.
