‘No Wake’ Not Just for Boaters

North Wildwood Logo

By Rachel Rogish

NORTH WILDWOOD – In response to residents’ concerns, City Council has created a “No Wake Zone,” that prohibits motorists from speeding through flooded roadways.
If water is over six inches deep, motorists cannot create a “wake” by sending water over the curb line.
Mayor Patrick Rosenello said Dec. 18 that signage would be installed, indicating when certain streets are flooded and would possibly be illuminated.
Design and construction of the signage will most likely be conducted “in house,” according to Rosenello.
