NJDOT Beginning Improvements to Route 9 This Week.

TRENTON -Commissioner Stephen Dilts announced that the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will resurface and install new drainage and curbing on Route 9 in Middle, Dennis and Upper townships in Cape May County.
On Tuesday, July 28, NJDOT will begin to install new curbing and drainage on Route 9 from Cresthaven Road to Springdale Court in Middle Township, Route 83 to Wrights Lane in Dennis Township and Pasttime Place to Elizabeth Lane in Upper Township. The project will require shoulder closures on Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and single lane closures on Mondays to Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., the next day for paving.
On August 10, NJDOT will begin to install new curbing and drainage on Route 157 from Creek Road to Wyoming Avenue in Absecon City. This portion of the project may require shoulder closures on Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and single lane closures on Mondays to Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the next day for paving.
On August 17, NJDOT will begin to install new curbing and drainage on Route 322 from Route 54 to Eighth Street in Folsom Borough. This portion of the project may require shoulder and single lane closures with one lane operating in each direction.
Milling and paving of the roadways will begin after Labor Day. The $4.1 million project is scheduled for completion in November 2009.
