NJ State Parks, Forests and Historic Sites Reopen

TRENTON – With the state budget agreement in place, the State Park Service engaged its parks re-opening plan for the Independence Day holiday.
State Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Commissioner Bob Martin announced that all state parks, forests, historic sites and recreation areas were reopening July 4, including Liberty State Park and Island Beach State Park in the morning.
DEP’s Division of Parks and Forestry manages nearly 450,000 acres, including 40 state parks and 11 state forests.
