New Flooding Surfaces

By Camille Sailer

SEA ISLE CITY – During public comment at Sea Isle City’s Council meeting Oct. 9, a resident asked if there was a “break in the system” at 44th Street and Central Avenue since there was flooding that day, where there never had been flooding before during a non-storm event. Council president Jack Gibson noted, “We’re experiencing high tides, and there has been construction in that area. The flooding study results are in, and we’ll be making a presentation on that soon.” There will be a workshop Nov. 13 to discuss items related to the capital plan, and “we can include this topic as we move towards final approval of any spending,” said Gibson.
