By Lenora Boninfante

COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders will host a County Government “Open House” Tues., April 24 in recognition of National County Government Month, April 2012.
The “Open House” will take place in the Lobby of the County Administration Building from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature displays from various county departments.
The “Open House” will coincide with the County’s Annual Student Government Day giving area high school students an opportunity to learn about county government in a hands-on setting. The students will visit with county department heads before running the Freeholders’ Caucus and Regular Meetings.
National County Government Month is celebrated by the nation’s counties to raise public awareness and understanding about the roles and responsibilities of county government. The 2012 theme is “Healthy Counties, Healthy Families.”
