NARUC Critical Infrastructure Committee Launches Online Resource Repository

By Press Release

WASHINGTON – A Committee of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners has launched an online portal that provides resources aimed at increasing critical infrastructure knowledge and hosts a variety of practical tools. The site was presented by NARUC’s Committee on Critical Infrastructure during the Summer Policy Summit in San Diego.
The Critical Infrastructure Resource Repository provides “one-stop” access to topical critical infrastructure information across a spectrum of public- and private-sector activities aimed at reliability, security and resilience.
Key areas include the critical infrastructure catalog, which includes survey data collected beginning in the fall of 2016 with summary information about state public utility commission activities pertaining to critical infrastructure resilience; risk management publications; critical infrastructure resilience; exercises from the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program; and a calendar that will be updated with events and other relevant dates. The critical infrastructure catalog represents information current through February 2017.
“Our committee is happy to provide these resources to state commissions,” said New Jersey Board of Public Utilities President Richard Mroz, who serves as the chair of the Committee. “Not only will the repository include a curated list of resources, there is practical information that allows states to enhance critical areas of physical and cyber security preparedness, response and recovery.”
Committee members will continue to update the site and add more resources. NARUC members can access the site at https://www.naruc.org/critical-infrastructure-resource-repository.
