NORTH WILDWOOD ─ According to city Auditor Leon Costello, North Wildwood’s city finances stand strong. “You’re well under the cap by $1.2 million,” Costello told City Council March 20 at the budget hearing. Because of fund balance, a one-cent tax rate increase will affect residents, to .7174 cents per $100 of assessed value. The budget is $29.575 million. Costello said the fund balance is “as healthy as it’s ever been.” Surplus and keeping spending in check is the goal, according to Mayor Patrick Rosenello.
