NORTH WILDWOOD ─ North Wildwood City Council held a hearing March 19, on the municipal budget. Auditor Leon Costello addressed council.
According to Costello, North Wildwood is $1.4 million under the levy, despite the 2.7-cent local purpose tax rate (per $100 of assessed value) increase. The tax increase is to help grow self-funding for capital improvement projects such as the seawall extension and repair.
Mayor Patrick Rosenello said incorporating monies for self-funding will pay off in the long-term.
