VILLAS – Lower Township Manager James Ridgway reported to Lower Township Council Jan. 23 that the township received a $400,000 Small Cities Block grant to make repairs to Mulligan Field in Villas.
As previously reported, Lower Township Council approved a resolution at the Dec. 17 meeting to hire Mott MacDonald for $34,150 for landscape architecture and engineering services for renovations at Mulligan Field.
The work would include plans for fencing, a new ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant field house and food stand, a multi-purpose field for baseball, softball, and soccer, and the relocation of the street hockey rink, along with other landscape improvements and sports lighting.
