MTPD to Participate in Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

COURT HOUSE – The Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA’s) second National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Sat., Oct. 29 2011. More than 5,100 sites nationwide have joined the effort that seeks to prevent pill abuse and theft. This is hundreds more sites than were established for the event last fall. The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time.
The Middle Township Police Department will be participating in this initiative and will be collecting expired, unused and unwanted medicines at the Walgreens in Rio Grande, located at 3300 Route 9.
