Middle Township Rec Offers Expanded Sports Programs

COURT HOUSE – The Middle Township Department of Recreation announced that it is offering new programs and activities through the fall. Open registration is underway through the months of October and November for many of these existing and new programs.
One of the highlights of the new activities is the 1st Annual Harvest Festival Cornhole (Baggo) Tournament to be held during the Festival on Oct. 26. Registration for the tournament is $20 per team, with a $5 discount offered for teams who register by Oct. 16.
Among the Department’s new and free activities is Cornhole (Baggo) being held Monday and Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Davies Sports Complex. Fustal Pick-up Soccer is also offered Tuesday from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Davies Sports Complex, and Friday from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Center starting Nov. 5. The free soccer program is available for ages 18 and up.
Travel and In-House basketball registration opens Oct. 14 and continues through Nov. 22. The program is available for grades 3rd through 8th; Travel basketball registration is $50, while In-House basketball registration is $35. Wrestling registration is currently open until the end of November for boys and girls grades 1st through 8th. The registration fee is $40. And, the Department is offering a new Youth Volleyball program for boys and girls in grades 6th through 8th. Registration is $15, and concludes Oct. 31. Volleyball games will be played Thursday from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Toddler Time continues to be offered at the Davies Sports Complex every Wednesday from 10:00-11:30 a.m.; the registration fee is $2.00.
