Middle Township Police Investigate Three-Vehicle Crash

RIO GRANDE — On Thur., Sept.23, at 5:22 p.m. Middle Township police responded to a three-vehicle crash on Route 47 and Fulling Mill Road.
Upon arrival and investigation, it was found that James M. Walsh, 32, of Rio Grande, had attempted to make a left from Fulling Mill Road onto northbound Route 47.
Upon coming onto Route 47, Walsh’s vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle operated by Daniel J. Taylor, 35, of North Cape May.
Taylor’s vehicle was then forced into a third vehicle that had been northbound on Route 47 being operated by Tina M. Crawley, 32, of Villas.
All three drivers were transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
Walsh was issued a summons for careless driving.
Investigating officer was Ptl. Leonard Larkin.
Also assisting were Court House Rescue, Rio Grande Rescue, Rio Grande Fire Company, Lower Township Rescue and Lower Township Police.
The road was closed for approximately 45 minutes.
