COURT HOUSE – Middle Township is hosting a public meeting July 2 from 5-6 p.m. at the Middle Township Municipal Building, located at 33 Mechanic St., Court House. The topic of discussion for the meeting is the township’s interest in applying for a streetscape grant for improvements to downtown Court House.
The township is applying for the Transportation Alternatives Set Aside Program, which is a grant for construction and design of streetscape projects, funded by the federal government and administered by the state. The program prioritizes community-based projects designed to strengthen the cultural, aesthetic and environmental aspects of the inter-modal (bike, pedestrian, transit and vehicle) systems.
The purpose of the meeting is to acquire input from the community regarding pedestrian and bike safety, beautification, traffic flow, and parking improvements in the heart of Middle Township’s downtown district, on Mechanic and Main Streets (Route 9).
