Middle Township Gets New Emergency Management Coordinator

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Mayor Daniel Lockwood of Middle Township announced today that Calvin Back has decided not to remain on as Middle’s Emergency Management Coordinator, a position he held from 1994 to 2001 and again from 2004 to present. Mayor Lockwood stated that “Calvin’s expertise in Emergency Management, that guided us through the 2010 snow storms and Hurricane Irene, will be greatly missed. I would like to take this opportunity to wish him well.”
Taking Calvin’s place will be Paul Fritsch. Paul was a police officer with Middle Township for 28 years, from July of 1983 until he retired as a Captain, on Nov. 30, 2011. During his time as a police officer he served as the Deputy Coordinator on the Emergency Management Team from 2005 until his retirement from the police department. He was born and raised in Middle Township, and has been with the Green Creek Fire Department for 34 years, where he is now Assistant Chief.
Mayor Lockwood stated “I am excited to work with Paul and look forward to a pro-active approach to Emergency Management.”
