COURT HOUSE — Middle Township marked National Night Out with a gala carnival-like evening Tue., Aug. 2 that included pony rides, golf cart steering courses and lots of jumping, ball tossing and honking of fire engine horns at Davies Sports Complex.
Under the auspices of Middle Township Police Department, many local businesses and groups joined the community-wide celebration.
Middle Township Taxpayers Assn. presented bicycle helmets, as it will on Aug. 4 at Martin Luther King Community Center to youngsters in need of a helmet. President Barbara Cresse reminded parents and children that all youngsters 17 and under must, by state law, wear bicycle helmets.
Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and staff personnel explained the Mobile Command Unit that is utilized at incidents requiring a broad range of communications.
Each of the township’s four fire companies sent apparatus, as did its rescue squad.
Coordinator Burgess “Butch” Hamer praised all the local businesses that participated to make the evening a success.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
