Middle Township Begins ‘Employee of the Month’ Program

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Middle Township has begun its new “Employee of the Month” program designed to acknowledge a Township employee who has performed his or her duties in an extraordinary manner. The new program will culminate with the first-ever Darius Graham Employee of the Year honor that is named after one of the Township’s beloved employees in its history.
“We are excited to offer this program as a way to recognize and thank our employees on a continual basis”, said Middle Township Mayor Tim Donohue. “Our Township employees are enthusiastic about this program, and equally thrilled that it honors Darius who’s contagious friendliness and work ethic set the standard that we try to achieve every day”.
Nomination forms are available inside Middle Township Hall at three locations: Human Resources and Training Department, Township Administration Department, and on the bulletin board. Residents from Middle Township and surrounding communities who have had a very positive interaction with any Middle Township employee may pick up the one-page nomination form and fill it out in the employee’s behalf. Each month a Township employee will be selected; the winning nominee will receive a certificate at a future Township Committee meeting along with a photograph posted on the bulletin board.
The annual Darius Graham Employee of the Year Award will be given to one of the 12 monthly award nominees. It will be awarded on the basis of key attributes that Darius was known for, including job satisfaction, performance of duties in a caring manner, enjoyment of the duties performed, and the elevation of work environment/Middle Township community.
The recipient of the Darius Graham Employee of the Year award will receive a personal plaque, recognition on a plaque displayed in Township Hall, a dedicated parking spot, and a travelling trophy for bragging rights.
The Middle Township Committee named the award after Darius Graham who was first employed by Middle Township in 1988 and quickly became an active participant in the Township’s successful Clean Communities Program. Graham was also well-known in the Township for being an ambassador for Middle Township, speaking lovingly about the community in which he served.
