Middle Police Respond to Motor Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident

COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving one vehicle and a pedestrian.
When police arrived at the crash scene the pedestrian identified as 20-year-old Bootsabong Tapaniyanun from Bangkok, Thailand was reportedly crossing Rte. 47 after getting off a New Jersey Transit bus in front of the Payless Shoe Store.
Sean Dolhancryk, age 26, from Glenolden. Pa, explained the woman stepped out into traffic from behind the bus and walked out in front of his vehicle.
Witnesses reported Tapaniyanun did not use the cross walk and never looked up to observe oncoming traffic.
Tapaniyanun was flown to Atlantic City Medical Center in Atlantic City; she has been listed in critical condition from injuries sustained in the collision.
Police contacted the Thailand Embassy in Washington, D.C. to notify the family in Tapaniyanun’s home country.
The accident is under investigation by the Middle Township Police Patrol Division and Crash Investigation Unit.
