COURT HOUSE – The Middle Township Police Department has released an Annual Report every year since 2007. Chief Leusner states,” We believe in sharing as much information as possible with the public and this report is an important part of that effort. I am very proud of the officers, dispatchers and civilian members of our Department and the job they do for the residents of Middle Township.”
“This report shows that, once again, the MTPD is pursuing a technologically savvy, assertive and proactive approach to law enforcement.” Mayor Tim Donohue said. “The DDACTS operation to reduce crime in Rio Grande was a proven success. Overall crime is down, along with a sharp decrease in fatalities. The Department set back gang activity significantly with Operation Blood Clot. Going forward, we are anxious to implement the plan we have put together with Chief Leusner to put more officers on the street. This plan will allow for an even more proactive department, while keeping the effects of these new hires on our budget to a minimum through 2015.”
