Middle Police Charge Three in Home Invasion

BURLEIGH — On May 1st, at approximately 3:28 a.m., the Middle Township Police Department responded to a single family residence located on Rt. 9 in the Burleigh section of Middle Township for a report of a home Invasion.
It was reported that two masked individuals entered the residence and assaulted two individuals by repeatedly punching them with closed fists. The two individuals then fled the area in a vehicle. The victims suffered minor injuries during the incident.
The Middle Township Police Department’s Major Crime Unit initiated an investigation during which several suspects were identified. As a result, several interviews were conducted which resulted in the arrest of Brittney Camburn, 19, from Del Haven, and two 17-year-old juveniles.
The investigation is still on-going and there may be additional arrests/charges. Through the investigation it was learned both parties have been having problems in the past which led up to this incident.
Camburn is charged with burglary, conspiracy and using a juvenile to commit a criminal offense. She was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility on $50,000 full cash bail.
Both juveniles were charged with burglary, conspiracy and assault. They were both taken to the Bridgeton Juvenile Detention Center.
