Middle Officers Follow Footprints to Burglars

SWAINTON– On Dec 19 at 10:43 p.m Middle Township Police received a call of a Burglar Alarm at the Country Club Tavern located in Swainton.
Ptl Novsak arrived on scene a found an open window at the rear of the building. Ptl Novsak checked the business and found it to be empty. Cpl Elias and Ptl Novsak then followed footprints in the snow leading from the rear of the Country Club Tavern to the Avalon Golf Country Club.
The footprints eventually lead to an address on Woodbridge Rd in Swainton were three suspects where arrested without incident.
Shawn Russell, 19 from Swainton was arrested along with two other juveniles. Russell was charge with Burglary and Theft and placed in the Cape May County Jail on $15,000 cash bail at 10%.
