COURT HOUSE – “Middle has a great story to tell, and we are not always getting the word out,” said Middle Township Business Administrator Elizabeth Terenik.
One of many efforts by the township to increase the visibility of all that Middle Township has to offer was the appointment, June 4, of a special events coordinator. Nancy McDevitt, formerly of the Human Resources Department, was appointed to the post by Township Committee.
The municipality has plans for a concert series at the amphitheater at Ockie Wisting Park in Rio Grande beginning this summer.
The park itself, with multiple amenities, is another addition to the array of things Middle officials feel it has to offer tourists as well as residents.
Committeeman Timothy Donohue said it is important to think of Middle as a tourist destination. “We should be getting our share of those tourist dollars,” he noted.
