COURT HOUSE – In 2018, Middle Township outsourced landscaping services for its recreation fields and bike path. At Middle Township Committee’s meeting Sept. 5 officials unanimously praised the first year of operation under the private contract while also seeking ways to continue to get “more bang for our buck” in the words of Committee member Timothy Donohue.

Along with Donohue, Mayor Michael Clark and Deputy Mayor Jeffrey DeVico said complaints were down and recreation facilities looked better than they had when the township maintained them itself.
A representative from Spring Green Lawn Care, one of the contractors under the arrangement, said the experience of the first year would help improve maintenance in the future. One suggestion was to move the Goshen Complex from manual to automatic irrigation.
