CAPE MAY – On Sept. 4, the Cape May City Council announced the replacement of three city Housing Authority commissioners with expiring terms. The city manager made a fourth replacement appointment. With no commissioners reappointed to new terms, the appointments were met with some opposition on the council but passed on a split vote.
Soon after that the chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Thomas Hynes, tendered his resignation before the end of his term. The council appointed Patricia Martz Nov. 20 to fill Hynes unexpired term. Dr. Keith Lafferty serves as chairman.
