CREST HAVEN – Freeholders passed a resolution Dec. 13 that set the annual reorganization meeting for Jan. 5 at 5 p.m. in the county Administration Building, 4 Moore Road.

Requested an amendment to Title 38 U.S. Code be reintroduced to Congress for the provision of headstones and markers for the graves of dependents of veterans.
Reappointed Cornelius Byrne Jr. and Robert Church to the County Construction Board of Appeals. Both terms will expire Dec. 14, 2020.
Supported additional state funding for the Greater Wildwood Tourism Improvement and Development Authority.
Named private sector members to the Cumberland-Salem-Cape May Workforce Investment Board: Denise Beckson of Morey’s Piers, Beachfront Waterparks and Resorts, for two years, beginning July 1, 2016, and Vicki Clark, Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, for three years also beginning July 1, 2016.
Approved the memorandum of understanding with Luftronix UAS Research to be located at Naval Air Station Wildwood at the County Airport.
Endorsed the Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness to allow the county to establish a Homelessness Trust Fund that will provide some additional funds to move homeless or formerly homeless persons and families toward permanent affordable housing and self-sufficiency.
Reappointed Pete Bitting of Villas, Michael McLaughlin of Court House and Lisa Allegretto of Ocean City to the County Park Advisory Board for terms that expire Dec. 31, 2021.
Approved purchase of radio equipment from Motorola Solutions Inc. for Office of Emergency Management amounting to $29,395.
Authorized a convenience fee of $2 for each electronic transaction processed by the County Clerk’s Office. A trust fund will be used to pay for the costs of the portal for those who use the service.
