AVALON — Avalon Police arrested a Pennsylvania man on charges that he made threats against a man and a woman who were staying at a local motel the night before their wedding.
On Saturday, Sept. 26 at around 11 p.m., Avalon Police were called to a motel located at 78th Street and the beach.
A 9-1-1 call was placed from the motel room and the caller stated that a man had just entered the room, wielding a knife.
Patrolman Sean McNair and Sergeant George Vogelei arrived and found the suspect standing outside of the victim’s door.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Lawrence Tadeo, 56, of Conshohocken, Pa. is alleged to have entered the couple’s room armed with a knife.
There were no injuries. Tadeo was charged with Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Aggravated Assault.
He was released on his own recognizance.
