COURT HOUSE – Two residents of Gatherings at Cape May, an age-restricted community built by Atlanta-based Beazer Homes, attended the April 1 Middle Township Committee meeting to inquire about why the township released a maintenance bond put up by the developer before all work in the development was completed.
The development had been at the center of a controversy with the neighboring residential community of Marylyn Manor due to claims that flooding in the older community had increased in part because of incorrect grading of the Beazer development, allowing water runoff.
There was no resolution on the status of the maintenance bond at the meeting.
