Lower Township Schedules Leaf/Branch Collection

VILLAS – As the snow recedes and spring appears homeowners may find plenty of leaves and branches in their yards. Lower Township Department of Public Works is scheduled to begin leaf and branch collection April 14, subject to weather conditions.
Collection in Villas-west, from Miami Avenue to Shadeland Avenue, Bayside Village and Shawmount Avenue is scheduled to begin April 14.
Pickup for Villas-east, Miami Avenue to the Lower Township Municipal Building is scheduled to start April 28.
Leaf and branch collection on Route 9: Church Street to Tranquility Park, Schellenger’s Landing, Diamond Beach, south of the canal, Jonathan Hoffman Road, Shawcrest, Breakwater Road: Fishing Creek Road to Seashore Road, Shunpike Road- Tabernacle Road- Seashore Road, Townbank Road from Sheriff Taylor Boulevard to Seashore Road, Erma Park and Cold Spring begins May 12.
Collection in Capewoods, Fishing Creek Road, Bay Gardens, Schooner Landing, Breakwater Road: Fishing Creek Road to Bayshore Road, Mickle’s Run, Bayshore Woods, Baywood Park, Holly Estates, Kechemeche 1 and 2, Lennox Acres, Rabbit Run, Bayshore East-Townbank Road: Sheriff Taylor Boulevard to Bayshore Road is scheduled to begin May 27.
Leaf and branch collection for Tahoe Drive to Townbank Road, Cape May Beach, North Cape May, Bayshore Estates, Bayshore Road: Breakwater Road to Ferry Road, Bayshore West, Townbank Road: Bayshore to Beach Drive is scheduled to begin June 9.
Branches up to 7 feet in length and no larger than 6 inches in diameter will be accepted.
Leaves must be loose curbside and must not block drain flow. Leaves must be free of branches, twigs and debris.
