Lower Township Police Report Actiity March 16-22

ERMA — From March 16-22, Lower Township Police handled 658 calls for an average of over 94 calls per day.
March 16:
Report of a motor vehicle accident at 2:55 a.m. on Arizona Avenue, Villas by a hit and run driver. Police stopped a motor vehicle matching the description of the hit and run on Breakwater Road. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and additionally charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Report of an accident at 8:36 p.m. in the area of Route 109 by Tranquility Drive, Cold Spring. Reported to be a head on collision with occupants trapped in the vehicle. Extrication devices were used to free the occupant from the collision. Medevac helicopter landed at the airport to transport to the trauma center. Investigation is pending.
March 17:
Report of a motor vehicle accident at 1:52 p.m. in the area of Bayshore Road and Greenwood Avenue, Villas. Vehicle left the scene. The vehicle was located on Spruce Avenue and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Report of a burglary at 2:21 p.m. on Deborah Street, North Cape May. Actors entered the residence through the garage door and removed computers, change and other items from the house. Investigation continues.
Report of fraud at 6:50 p.m. in the first block of Pinetree Drive, Villas. An account was opened in the victim’s name, the amount of the fraud totaled approximately $1,100 in charges through a Bill-Me Later Account.
March 18:
Report received of a theft at the Bayshore Mall at 3:14 p.m. involving handicapped parking signs. Suspects left in a vehicle from the mall. Police stopped the vehicle a short time later and recovered the stolen property.
Report of family crisis at 5:31 p.m. in the 200 block of Florida Avenue, Villas. Disagreement between parent and child referred to social service agency.
Report of a motor vehicle accident at 6:21 p.mm at the end of Garden State Parkway. The accident involved two vehicles with no injuries reported.
March 19:
Report of narcotics arrest at 3:20 p.m. in the first block of Mowery Avenue, Villas. Subject arrested on outstanding child support warrant and found in possession of narcotics. Charges filed.
Report of a motor vehicle accident at 9:12 p.m. at Bayshore Road and McKinley Avenue, Villas. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
March 20:
Report received of domestic violence complaint at 4:05 p.m. in the 200 block of Cardinal Road, Villas. Rights were given and no temporary restraining order requested, no criminal complaints signed at this time.
Report of domestic violence complaint at 6:41 p.m. in the 1400 block of Bayshore Road, Villas. Rights were given in regards to ongoing text messaging.
March 21:
Report of domestic violence complaint at 3:40 a.m. in the 200 block of Oakdale Avenue, Villas. Rights were given and no temporary restraining order requested, no criminal complaints signed at this time.
Report of criminal mischief received at 10:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Ocean Drive in Cape May, damage done to boat during winter storage, investigation continues.
March 22:
Report of a motor vehicle accident at 1:57 a.m. at Beachhurst Drive and Amhurst Drive, North Cape May. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated
Report of a burglary at 7:32 a.m. in the 500 block of east Tampa Avenue, Villas. Subjects entered unoccupied residence and committed criminal mischief inside residence to two doors. Investigation continues.
Report of criminal mischief received at 10 a.m. in the 900 block of Ocean Drive in Cape May, damage done to boat during winter storage, investigation continues.
Report of theft received at 11:53 a.m. in the 800 block of Meadowview Road, Erma. Electric cement mixer was stolen, investigation continues.
Report of domestic violence complaint at 1:30 p.m, in the 100 block of Cedardale Avenue, Villas. Rights were given and no temporary restraining order requested, no criminal complaints signed at this time.
Report of residential house fire at 2:31 p.m. in the 600 block of Caspian Avenue,North Cape May. Cause ruled accidental and no injuries sustained.
Report of domestic violence complaint at 5:38 p.m. in the 600 block of East Jacksonville Avenue, Villas. Rights were given and no temporary restraining order requested, no criminal complaints signed at this time.
Report of a warrant arrest received at 11:54 p.m. in the area of Bayshore Road and Pennsylvania Avenue, Villas. Bail posted and subject released.
