Lower Township Offers Drop-Offs for Socks for Seniors

By Press Release

VILLAS — Drop off warm socks, holiday socks or whimsical socks at Lower Township Hall for “Socks for Seniors.”
Last year, the program collected 800 pairs of socks that were donated to senior citizens in local nursing homes from Ocean City to North Cape May. Socks will be accepted until Dec. 13.
“Socks for Seniors” is seeking “fun socks,” items with holiday prints or bright colors to cheer up nursing home residents as well as warm their feet.
The greatest need is for women’s socks.
Township Hall, 2600 Bayshore Rd, Villas, is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A donation box is located in the lobby.
