VILLAS – The Lower Township Department of Parks and Recreation has continued to bring new programs, unique events, and updated playgrounds to the community.
According to a release, the department is turning its attention to the recreation facilities, specifically the renovations of bathrooms.
The bathrooms are part of the original recreational structure and have not been renovated in over 40 years, noted Manager James Ridgway at a recent council meeting.
Ridgway said the bathrooms are outdated and need to be brought up to the standards of the American with Disabilities Act.
Council voted to approve engineering services with Mott MacDonald prior for the upgrade project.
