Lower’s Police Get Grant to Upgrade 9-1-1 Service

ERMA — Lower Township Police Department, on Sept. 24, received a $20,350 grant from the N.J. Office of Information and Technology Office of Emergency Telecommunications Services.
The check was presented to Lt. Christopher Winter by Edward Bradford.
Winter said the general assistance grant will be used in the department’s communications center.
Use of the grant is limited to the equipment and service expenses with regard to the enhanced 9-1-1 system and the FCC wireless E9-1-1 requirements within the Police Communications Center.
