Lower Hikes Pay Of 2 Supervisors

VILLAS – Lower Township Council approved raises for two township employees who hold supervisory positions Dec. 4. According to Article XI, Section H of the Lower Township Supervisors Union contract, the township manager may “at the manager’s sole discretion; unit members may be recommended for a market adjustment or merit-based raise of no more than 5 percent” once, during the term of the contract. Margaret Vitelli, qualified purchasing agent, received a $3,500 raise. Gary Douglass, township superintendent of public works, received a $4,000 raise.
