Lower Flags July 3 for Slain Army Sergeant

TRENTON — In honor of Army Sgt. Trista L. Moretti of South Plainfield, killed in an insurgent attack in Iraq, Gov. Jon Corzine has ordered American and New Jersey State flags to fly at half-staff July 3.
Sgt. Trista L. Moretti of South Plainfield was a 1998 graduate of South Plainfield High School where she excelled in field hockey and track, and earned nine varsity letters.
She was servinging as a signal intelligence officer and paratrooper with the Army’s 425’s Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division.
