LoBiondo Returns From Fact Finding Mission; Gives Views on ISIS

By Other News Source

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-1st) recently returned from a two-week fact finding mission in parts of Africa known for Islamic terrorist hot spots, according to NBC 40.
LoBiondo talked to NBC 40 about his views on the situation with ISIS and how he feels it should be handled. LoBiondo told NBC 40 the threats to western interests continue to grow.
“You can’t wish ISIS away with humanitarian efforts,” LoBiondo told NBC 40. “It’s going to take military coordination and this is going to be air strikes. This is not putting soldiers on the ground like in the Iraq war.”
In response to the release of a video showing an ISIS terrorist beheading a second American journalist in as many weeks, LoBiondo had this to say.
“I think this further gives us a vivid indication of what monsters we are dealing with,” LoBiondo told NBC 40.
LoBiondo told NBC 40 the threats against America and other western interests are real, and that President Obama should have acted sooner.
“Because of the cautious nature of this administration and the president ignoring the bipartisan request especially those of us on the intelligence committee, house and senate, we now find ISIS has grown into a force that is threatening not just Iraq and Syria, but also the Western World,” LoBiondo told NBC 40.
LoBiondo says he supports continuing air strikes against ISIS, but doesn’t think troops should be placed on the ground.
