WILDWOOD ─ “If you’re looking for something, it isn’t there,” said Commissioner Anthony Leonetti. He responded to criticism from resident Ryan Troiano. Troiano questioned Leonetti Aug. 8 concerning amusement pier advertising for free on the back of lifeguard stands. According to Leonetti, the organization approached him with the idea and Leonetti agreed on the basis of a pilot program. According to a resolution, signs are “necessary on the back of lifeguard stands to identify the stand by number.” The organization offered to “provide such signs…at no cost to the city.” Troiano claimed that “puzzle pieces” were coming together regarding city practices.
