COURT HOUSE – Bond ordinances passed by Cape May County have funded two new library buildings and an upgrade on the main branch on West Mechanic Street here.
Now, it’s time for the Cape May County Library Commission to reimburse the county for work done, or to be done. That action was formalized Dec. 22 in a resolution passed by freeholders.
The commission will pay $5,375,000 for the Wildwood Crest branch, 6300 Atlantic Ave.
It will also pay $675,000 for the renovation to the main branch.
In Stone Harbor, where construction on that municipality’s branch is progressing at 96th Street and Second Avenue next to Borough Hall, the commission will pay $4.3 million, according to Deborah Poillon, library director.
