COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner was selected as the 107th president of the state Chiefs of Police Association.
Leusner, who assumed the role of chief in Middle Township in 2009, began his law enforcement career as a Special Class II Officer in Wildwood during the summer of 1997.
Prior to being selected to lead the state association, Leusner served as president of the Cape May County Chiefs of Police Association. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va. and holds a Master’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Leusner has been active in efforts to reduce adverse childhood experiences, which research shows link strongly to health and behavioral problems in adults. Leusner said he wants to make police-youth engagement a key aspect of his term as president.
