Lautenberg Lauds President’s State of the Union

By Herald Staff

WASHINGTON — Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg (D – NJ) today released the following statement in response to President Obama’s State of the Union Address:
“President Obama made it crystal clear that creating jobs and improving the economy is our top priority. His speech hit home with the public and I am ready to work with President Obama and my Senate colleagues to make sure the people of New Jersey and all Americans have access to good jobs, decent health care and a clean energy future.
“We must not forget that President Obama inherited the worst recession in generations and two wars when he took office last year. We have made significant progress, but much work remains.”
