WEST WILDWOOD – Newly elected Amy Korobellis was sworn at a Nov. 14 special meeting of West Wildwood Borough Commission, filling the seat of Cornelius Maxwell, who resigned earlier in 2019.
Maxwell’s position as commissioner of revenue and finance has been vacant since June, leaving Commissioner Scott Golden as head of Public Safety, and Mayor Christopher Fox as head of Public Works.
During the Nov. 5 general election, voters selected Korobellis, with 123 votes. Challengers John Banning and Anna Doherty received 104 and 27 votes, respectively, per official results compiled by the county Clerk’s Office.
