Kayak Launch Quizzed

By Camille Sailer

SEA ISLE CITY – During public comment at Sea Isle City’s Council meeting April 23, resident Richard Parks asked why the kayak launch at 59th-60th streets and Bay Avenue was not opened. Council President Jack Gibson explained, “We received a grant, a nice sizable grant that in addition to the kayak launch also includes a fishing pier. The project is in the design phase and we never expected it to open before at the earliest next spring. There are a number of needed permits that are in the works and that takes time as well.”
