Jay Gillian Sworn in as Mayor of Ocean City

OCEAN CITY– For the second time in Ocean City history a member of the Gillian family has taken the oath of office to became the city’s mayor.
On Thursday, July 1, local amusement park owner Jay Gillian officially became the city’s mayor during a reorganization meeting at the Ocean City Music Pier.
His father Roy Gillian served as mayor of Ocean City from 1986 to 1990.
Gillian who received 2,697 votes, or about 63 percent beat challenger Michael Hinchman for a four year term.
