CREST HAVEN – Inmates’ and Cape May County Correctional Center staff meals will cost a few cents more since freeholders approved an increase April 25. By resolution, Trinity Services Group Inc. will charge $1.61 per inmate meal, up four cents, and $1.98 for staff meals, up a nickel.
The resolution amended the March 22, 2016, contract, and was based on the February 2017 Consumer Price Index – Food Away from Home Index, published by the U.S Department of Labor/Bureau of Labor and Statistics. The increase was 2.4 percent over the 2016 figure.
The prices will remain in force until March 31, 2018.
