COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 11 indictments Oct. 23.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
The following actions are alleged by law enforcement agents. Persons named are innocent until proven otherwise in court.
Jennifer McKenna, Kellie McKenna, Michael E. LLade
Jennifer McKenna was indicted for third-degree theft. The indictment states that McKenna stole from a Wildwood Boardwalk restaurant over a period of four summer seasons from 2015 to 2018.
Kellie McKenna faces a count for fourth-degree theft from the same establishment over two summer seasons, 2017 and 2018.
Michael LLade was listed on one count in the indictment for theft from the same restaurant during the 2017 summer season and the beginning of the 2018 season.
Ashley Piazza, Jamie Healy
Ashley Piazza and Jamie Healy, of Upper Township, were indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine, and third-degree conspiracy to possess a CDS.
Gabriel E. Berly, Owen F. Naplacic, Sabbatino Marziano
Gabriel Berly, Owen Naplacic and Sabbatino Marziano face drug charges related to an April Ocean City arrest. The six-count indictment states that Marziano had possession of hashish with intent to distribute, third degree and that he was within 1,000 feet of Ocean City High School, an added third-degree count.
Berly and Naplacic were indicted for possession of cocaine, third degree, and marijuana, fourth degree. All three individuals share a count for conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Mark A. Hickman
Mark Hickman, 32, of Court House, faces an indictment for third-degree possession of a CDS, heroin. He was arrested in a driving while intoxicated stop in August in Middle Township.
Tameka M. McKeiver
Tameka McKeiver, of Ocean City, was indicted on three separate second-degree counts of endangering the welfare of a child, along with one fourth-degree count of assault by auto. The incident involved an August driving while intoxicated with three children in the motor vehicle ages 2, 4 and 7 years old. The assault charge is related to injuries suffered by the 7-year-old.
Edward T. Kelly
Edward Kelly, of Cape May, was indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, a third-degree count.
April N. Chillari
April Chillari was arrested in Upper Township for driving under a suspended license. She faces an indictment for fourth-degree operating a motor vehicle during a second license suspension.
James J. Wolford
James Wolford, 34, of Del Haven, was indicted on two counts of criminal trespass in the fourth degree. The indictment states that on two occasions Wolford peered into the window of the same woman’s residence in Court House. He was arrested following the second occasion Sept. 2.
Sandra E. Tarin
Sandra Tarin, of Dennis Township, was indicted for possession of a CDS, fentanyl, third degree.
Jonathan Lopez-Moyet
Jonathan Lopez-Moyet was indicted for eluding police in Upper Township In March. The indictment states that Lopez-Moyet showed a disregard for the risk of death or injury to others. The count was in the second degree.
Susan E. Mazzone, Lauren M. Dorff, Sherman R. Martin
On July 21, Eric Nolan, 35, of North Cape May was found dead. Investigation showed his death was drug induced. Both Susan Mazzone, 43, of Court House, and Lauren Dorff, 31, of Villas, were indicted for first-degree drug-induced death. The indictment claims each woman played a role in distributing the drugs, fentanyl, to Nolan.
Both are also facing counts for third-degree possession with intent to distribute.
Sherman Martin, 44, of Court House, was indicted along with Mazzone on additional counts for third-degree possession with intent related to oxycodone and alprazolam. Martin and Mazzone also are named on a count for conspiracy in the third degree.
