Indictments Filed Dec. 10

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 23 indictments Dec. 10. 
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance. All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Nikia T. Alleyne, Nazir X. Britt, Rhashon S. Whye, Maxwell S. Beattie 
Four men were arrested, in Wildwood, after a motel housekeeper found a loaded gun in their room. The gun led to a search, which also produced drug possession charges. 
Nikia Alleyne, 19, of Browns Mills, was indicted for second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. Nazir Britt, 21, also of Browns Mills, faces a count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 500 feet of public property, second degree, and within 1,000 feet of a school, third degree. 
Rhashon Whye, 25, of Camden, is charged with possession of a CDS, heroin, third degree, and Maxwell Beattie is charged with possession of oxycodone, third degree.
Joseph D. Bassett, Shawn N. Calveryley
Joseph Bassett and Shawn Calveryley were arrested, in Dennis Township, in July. The two face a second-degree count for possession of a CDS with intent to distribute, along with three third-degree counts, two for possession and one for possession with intent. The drug in question was Fluoro MDMB-Pica.
James Adamson
James Adamson was indicted for third-degree invasion of privacy for disclosing intimate pictures of a female victim.
Paul P. Brady, Andrew Jeffers, William McCallister, Lisa Stone
The individuals listed each face a separate count of third-degree possession of a CDS. Jeffers also faces a count of fourth-degree obstructing the administration of law.
Jay Calcott
Jay Calcott faces a seven-count indictment, including two third-degree counts for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, third-degree criminal restraint, fourth-degree criminal coercion and second-degree witness tampering. The final two counts were in the fourth degree for contempt of a restraining order and harassment while in prison.
Faustino Colon, Matthew Monette 
Faustino Colon and Matthew Monette, of Upper Township, were indicted for shoplifting and conspiracy, both counts in the fourth degree.
Ernest Desimone
Ernest Desimone, 40, of Edgewood, was indicted for fourth-degree hindering apprehension.
Joell Fogg, Miguel Vazquez 
Joell Fogg, 52, of Wildwood, was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, fentanyl, and hindering apprehension, fourth degree. In the same indictment, Miguel Vazquez faces counts for third-degree possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and second-degree intent within 500 feet of public property.
Adrian E. Guajardo 
The indictment of Adrian Guajardo states that he invaded the privacy of two Cape May City female victims by taking and displaying intimate photographs or videos of the women in 2016. He faces two third-degree counts.
Ryan P. McKenna
Ryan McKenna was indicted for fourth-degree child abuse of an 11-year-old.
Ashley M. Peters
Ashley Peters, of Upper Township, was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault, one second and one third degree. There were two separate victims.
Jeffrey J. Kern
Jeffrey Kern, 23, of Lower Township, was arrested during the Roar to the Shore event in Wildwood. He faces two fourth-degree counts for unlawful possession of a weapon, brass knuckles, and certain person not to have a weapon. Kern was convicted of unlawful possession of a weapon in 2015, which barred him from possessing one in the future.
Amanda Matias, Ronnie W. Gerald 
Amanda Matias and Ronnie Gerald, of Dennis Township, were indicted on two counts of possession of a CDS, cocaine and fentanyl, and two counts of possession with intent. All counts were in the third degree.
Paul Young
Paul Young, of Upper Township, was indicted for third-degree theft.
Andrew J. Voegltin
Andrew Voegltin, of Lower Township, was indicted for fourth-degree contempt of a restraining order. 
Byron R. Vile 
Byron R. Vile was indicted for contempt of a restraining order, fourth degree.
Katherine Veratti 
Katherine Veratti, of Dennis Township, was indicted on two counts of third-degree possession of a CDS, methamphetamine and heroin, along with two counts of possession with intent to distribute, one in the second and one in the third degree.
Otto C. Ruoff 
Otto Ruoff was indicted on a single count of fourth-degree operating a motor vehicle during a second license suspension. Ruoff was arrested, in North Wildwood, in September.
Edward Rudnesky, Molley Burke 
Edward Rudnesky and Molley Burke face two counts of third-degree possession of a CDS, LSD and cocaine, along with one count of third-degree conspiracy. The indictment relates to an arrest, in Dennis Township, in September.
Sean D. Porter
Sean Porter was indicted for second and third-degree aggravated assault related to a domestic violence incident, in November, in Cape May City.The indictment also includes counts for second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and three third-degree counts for criminal restraint, terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. 
The final count was for unlawful possession of a weapon, fourth degree. The weapon in question was a knife.
