PETERSBURG – At its Nov. 6 meeting, Upper Township Committee:
Approved a resolution to reject bids received for Webster Park improvements; the Herald recently reported on improvements envisaged for the Strathmere park. According to township Engineer Paul Dietrich, “The bids we received exceeded the funds we had available. However, we have determined that we can do the majority of this work with our staff in-house.”
Received notification from Dietrich, about an upgrade to the township’s telephone system. “The only change is in the phones themselves not the numbers. When calls come in, they will route to voicemail. So the only thing the public might experience is not getting a live person on their first call Nov. 21 and Nov. 22. But we will call them back.”
