Hargett Will Direct Borough Special Events/Tourism

STONE HARBOR — Stone Harbor Borough Council hired Elizabeth Hargett to serve as special events-tourism director during the Tue., April 3 council meeting. The selection was unanimous with a 6-0 vote.
“We are very excited to welcome someone of Liz’s caliber to the Borough of Stone Harbor,” stated Administrator Jill Gougher. “Liz will do a tremendous job delivering and marketing special events that will attract and entertain many visitors to our community.”
Hargett will direct all special events and tourism efforts in the community. The post was previously held by Joann DelVescio.
Hargett’s job responsibilities will include coordination, execution, and promotion of special events in the borough, as well as working with various community organizations to elevate their special events.
Hargett is a lifelong resident of Cape May County. She graduated Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communication with a concentration in Marketing. She has worked as a promotion coordinator for Coastal Broadcasting Systems, Inc. and as assistant marketing coordinator at Catamaran Media.
She remains owner and lead consultant for Liz Hargett Public Relations.
When she is not working, Hargett volunteers as a member of the Wildwood Zoning Board and is active in the Greater Wildwood Jaycees.
