SEA ISLE CITY – During Super Storm Sandy, Sea Isle City’s former City Hall and Public Safety Buildings were both flooded and damaged. Now, the City is replacing those older buildings with one new municipal facility, which will house all City Hall functions, the Police and Fire Departments, Sea Isle’s Municipal Court and City Council Chambers. The new City Hall will be constructed on the site of the former Public Safety Building, which was recently demolished.
A Ground Breaking Ceremony will be held on March 31 to officially begin construction of the new building – and launch a new era in Sea Isle City’s history. The public is invited to attend the Ground Breaking, which will be led by Mayor Leonard Desiderio and City Council. The event will feature numerous City, County and State officials, representatives from local civic organizations and other community leaders.
